Learn of how the events of Washington Crossing the Delaware on Christmas of 1776 and the ensuing Battles of Trenton and Princeton were a turning point in the war. How the events of these 10 days not only kept the war alive for the American cause and enshrined George Washington's reputation as a leader, but also how they encapsulated the characteristics of the war as fought by the Americans under the Republican Ideology of their movement for independence.
Ronald P. Rinaldi is a historian and educator who has worked and studied American history for 50 years. He holds a B.A. degree from George Washington University in American Studies, an M.A. from Duke University in Military History, and an Ed.
