With local author Julia Mills!
In this class we will discuss the steps of planning, writing and creating a comic. We will explore characters, story arcs, and how to put it all together.
Bring a character or concept you've been working on or find inspiration during the class. This class is for creators of all levels.
Class is open to all ages. Registration is requested, but not required.
Julia Mills is the award-winning author/illustrator of I AM STUCK and ROBINSON’S NEW THING (Harper Kids/Clarion). She is also a public school art teacher which means she has paint on her hands 99% of the time. Julia likes to write stories that deal with big emotions while still having plenty of room for humor. She creates her art with watercolor, colored pencil, pastel, crayon, paint sticks and digital collage. Julia lives in New Jersey with her husband, two kids, and two black cats named Cosmo and Klaus.
Join us for Jersey Cape Con 2026 on Saturday, April 25 from 10am to 4pm at the Court House Library!
Jersey Cape Con is a free, all-ages library event that brings the feeling of a large comic con into your local library. You can shop from local vendors, meet local authors, play board and video games, attend workshops, and more!
