Fish, Fins, and More!

We eat them, swim in the water with them, and are sometimes even afraid of them, but we don’t always know a lot about our local fish! During this presentation we’ll learn what exactly makes a fish a fish and take an up-close look at some of our local marine species. Live animals include a variety of local fish, seasonally dependent.

The Wetlands Institute strives to promote appreciation, understanding & stewardship of wetlands and coastal ecosystems through our programs in research, conservation, and education by:

  • Teaching people of all ages the value of wetlands and coastal ecosystems for the survival of life on earth
  • Conducting cutting-edge research regarding wetlands and coastal ecosystems
  • Encouraging stewardship of these ecosystems worldwide
