Life Under the Lens - A Journey Into the Rhizosphere

The forest teems with life, but most of it is too small to see.  We will explore the microscopic complexity of nature through lecture, pictures and videos. And take a peak in some samples of local water habitats through a microscope and discover an unseen world. 

Lin Conover, owner of Wood Song Mushrooms, LLC, first began learning about mushrooms through a deep dive into soil health and composting methods. With an appreciation for the integral role fungus has for our living planet, she began the process of identifying wild species and growing cultivated mushrooms. Wood Song Mushrooms now provides fresh mushrooms and related products, in addition to educational programs, nature/foraging walks and hands-on experiences.
